eTwinning Training for Ukrainian Universities and Schools Hosted at the Center “CNU EcoSystem”

On August 21–22, 2026, the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies CNU EcoSystem at Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University hosted a training session for Ukrainian higher education and general secondary education institutions participating in the European Union’s eTwinning / Erasmus+ program.

The training was led by Svitlana Kalashnikova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the NAES of Ukraine, and Coordinator of the National eTwinning Support Office in Ukraine. The event was attended by the Director of the Center, Professor Olena Budnyk.

Dedicated to developing cooperation between universities and schools to improve initial teacher training and support educators early in their professional careers, the workshop brought together representatives from 9 Ukrainian higher education institutions offering teacher education, as well as eTwinning ambassador teachers.

Participants were welcomed by University Rector Valentyna Yakubiv, who highlighted the importance of such meetings as a platform for exchanging experience between university faculty and schoolteachers, exploring effective partnership models, and working out practical solutions to enhance teacher preparation. As a result of the training, key ideas were developed for a future project application.

Hosting this training at the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies CNU EcoSystem of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University is an important opportunity to advance professional collaboration among educational institutions and integrate European expertise into teacher training.
