INTERNATIONAL INTERNSHIP AT THE POMERANIAN UNIVERSITY IN SŁUPSK

Professor Olena Budnyk, Director of the Center for Innovative Educational TechnologiesPNU EcoSystem, has successfully completed a scientific and didactic internship at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk (Poland), which took place from 7 January to 13 February 2026 as part of the Visiting Professor programme (in a mixed format).

The 180-hour internship focused on Digital Innovations in Academic Education as a Tool for Psychological and Pedagogical Support of Students in Crisis Situations. During her time at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Olena Budnyk familiarized herself with the institutional structure, research activities, and international project management, while also holding a series of working meetings with the university leadership. Particular attention was paid to analyzing European experiences in training future teachers in the fields of preschool, primary, and penitentiary pedagogy. As part of the in-person phase, Olena Budnyk conducted 60 hours of teaching sessions for Polish students, covering courses on pedagogical innovations, training for overcoming difficult life situations, and the use of ICT in pedagogical work.

The internship was the result of years of fruitful collaboration between our University and Polish colleaguesVice-Rector Professor Anna Babicka-Wirkus and the Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Dr. Grzegorz Piekarski. This experience will contribute to the further implementation of innovative digital solutions in the educational process of our University and the strengthening of international relations.
