On October 28, the “CNU EcoSystem” Center for Innovative Educational Technologies hosted an interactive workshop titled “Pedagogical MakerSpace” for primary school teachers and early childhood educators from Ivano-Frankivsk.
During the workshop, participants explored the fundamentals of 3D modeling, the principles of 3D printing, and practical applications of these tools in early childhood and primary education. Educators gained hands-on experience using 3D pens to create volumetric elements and realize their creative ideas, navigating the full process from problem formulation to designing an innovative solution. As noted by the Center’s Director, Professor Olena Budnyk, interactive didactic games formed an essential component of the session, demonstrating how game-based methodology fosters creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Technical support for the 3D modeling and printing processes was provided by Associate Professor Mykhailo Kotyk.
Participants acquired practical experience in collaborative design, mastered idea-generation tools, and discussed real-world examples of integrating maker education into the learning process.
The event, organized with the active support of the “CNU EcoSystem” Center team, took place within the framework of the Norwegian-Ukrainian REFINE project (“Rebuilding futures: Empowering educators and students through cross-border collaboration and invention pedagogy”), aimed at advancing invention pedagogy, strengthening international collaboration, and empowering educators and students (supported by the EDUC-WIDE SEED PROJECTS – 2024 initiative).
