FINAL TRAINING SESSION FOR STUDENTS HELD AT THE “CNU ECOSYSTEM” CENTER WITHIN THE REFINE PROJECT

On October 8, the “CNU EcoSystem” Center hosted the final training session within the framework of the international project “REFINE: Rebuilding Futures: Empowering Educators and Students through Cross-Border Collaboration and Invention Pedagogy.” The event brought together higher education students majoring in Early Childhood Education and Primary Education at the Faculty of Education, who explored the fundamentals of 3D printing and its potential applications in educational practice.

The training began with a review of maker pedagogy and invention pedagogy. Participants completed the interactive “Quest Maker,” developed by Professor Olena Budnyk and Associate Professor Marianna Matishak. During a team-based workshop facilitated by Associate Professor Iryna Skomorovska, students engaged in hands-on inventive activities that encouraged creativity, collaboration, and innovative problem-solving. Under the guidance of Professor Liudmyla Matsuk, participants explored the fundamentals of 3D modelling and printing, learning how these technologies can be used to address practical educational challenges. With expert support from Associate Professor Mykhailo Kotyk, each team designed and 3D-printed customised teaching aids tailored to the needs of early childhood education settings and primary schools. The training provided future teachers with valuable hands-on experience in integrating digital fabrication technologies into the educational process. Once again, the students demonstrated their creativity, willingness to experiment, and ability to develop innovative solutions to educational challenges. These skills will help them apply modern technologies meaningfully in their future professional practice.

All participants received certificates of successful completion, marking the conclusion of this training programme within the REFINE project.
