On March 6, representatives of the “PNU EcoSystem” Centre for Innovative Educational Technologies – Professor Olena Budnyk, Professor Inna Chervinska, and Associate Professor Kateryna Fomin – took an active part in the I All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation: “The Hutsul School as a Phenomenon of Ethnopedagogy: Petro Losiuk’s Pedagogical Ideas in the Dimensions of Modern Education.” The event was dedicated to a landmark date – the 90th anniversary of the birth of the prominent educator, People’s Teacher of Ukraine, and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Petro Losiuk. Held at the Petro Losiuk Yavoriv Lyceum, the conference brought together over a hundred participants, including scientists, methodologists, and practitioners from various regions of Ukraine.
The gathering served as a powerful platform for discussing current challenges in integrating Hutsul studies into the modern educational process. Participants analyzed Petro Losiuk’s heritage as a living tool for shaping a well-rounded personality within the framework of the New Ukrainian School. The discussions reaffirmed that regional identity serves as a solid foundation for creating a contemporary pedagogical identity.
